About Hanbury

Hanbury is a hilltop village and civil parish in East Staffordshire, standing on a ridge above the Dove valley with wide views towards Derbyshire. St Werburgh's Church has Anglo-Saxon origins and contains fine medieval and Tudor monuments, including what is thought to be the earliest alabaster effigy in England. The parish is best known for the Fauld explosion of 27 November 1944, when around 3,500 tons of bombs stored in the RAF underground depot in a former gypsum mine detonated, killing about 70 people and leaving a crater roughly 100 feet deep and a quarter of a mile across, which survives today. The parish also includes the hamlets of Fauld, Coton and Hanbury Woodend, and its rural economy has long been tied to farming and gypsum extraction.

Small bag*: £25.

Contains approximately 15-20 10" logs per bag. Usually collection only.

Large bag: £140.

Our standard product, bags are 85cm x 85cm x 85cm and contain approx 0.5m³ logs when stacked neatly.

*Please note that a minimum order for small bags is required to qualify for free delivery. If you want to collect small bags, you are welcome. Please get in touch to discuss.

About Our Firewood

We are a small family business based in Anslow, just outside Burton upon Trent. We take pride in both the service we provide, and the quality of our firewood.

We source our hardwood from UK woodlands. All the wood we use is removed as part of forestry management and we try our best to source only local timber. We do not offer softwood firewood.

We season our wood naturally, it is not kiln dried and as such has a lower carbon footprint. Find out more about why we naturally season our wood.
